Right now I'm reading "The Last Mythal" series by Richard Baker - one of the authors who did the whole spider queen war series. I've read two of the books this week, and there are (I believe) only 3 in the series. So needless to say I'm looking for good recommendations as to what to read next.

I've read many (though definitely not all) of the classic fantasy authors, as well as some of the more popularly known sci-fi authors. I've read enough books about drow elves to completely satisfy any -small- desire I may have had to know what it is they do on a minute-by-minute basis in the underdark. If you can bring to me a title which is purely about illithid antics, I may consider foraying into the lightless hell of the underdark one more time. Maybe.

As for other comics which I enjoy.. well, I enjoy Constantine, and I was able to read through House of M, Decimation, most of Civil War (though I admit I didn't buy every comic line, and honestly with shit out there such as heroes for hire ..who can blame me) and the spiderman clone saga. I straight out REFUSE to read a spiderman storyline which involves mephisto making peter into a bachelor again just to punish him. I've read quite a bit of uncanny x-men, though I will not claim that I've been able to find the time to read the series in any kind of coherent order.

I like both the Ultimate X-Men and New X-Men about the same, and freaking love the early Authority.. though kind of stopped enjoying it once they put Apollo in someone's basement. Ahem. I also appreciate Young Avengers and Runaways for their cheeky antics, even though I admittedly dislike teenagers quite a bit. Apparently teenagers with super powers are cooler somehow (ugh-DUH..)

I am sorely under-read in the DC universe. I.. read the death of superman stuff, some Constantine, and a bit of purple costume catwoman in the 90's (holy shit I just wrote catworm and had to correct myself..) but other than that I probably haven't read it.

So far I've had people recommend the teen titans, Dark Knight Returns, and Watchmen. Also something to do with starman, but after watching a movie with the same name as a child, I'd rather chug drain-o - even though I -know- that there's no connection between the two.

If you have any thoughts regarding reading material, or are reading something currently that you'd like to share an opinion on, please be my guest. I don't bite, and even if I did - I've had a bevy of shots which would probably make it mostly safe.
